Virtual Exhibits Investment Program - Web Statistics

The VMC Exhibits Webstats Report contains Web statistics on all VMC exhibit(s).

For Access

If you have a VMC Virtual Exhibit or Community Memories exhibit, a report on Web statistics in PDF format will be e‑mailed to you.

There will be a separate report issued for each Virtual Exhibit and Community Memories exhibit. These reports will be e‑mailed individually.

The report isn’t in the language of your choice?

The report is available in both languages. If your preferences in our database are not up to date and you wish to receive the report in the other language or in both official languages, please contact the Coordinator, VMC Investment Programs by e‑mail at invest.programme-ex@pch.gc.ca or, by phone at 819‑934‑5940 or 1‑800‑520‑2446.

You didn’t receive your report?

All reports are sent at the beginning of each month. If you have not received your report by the 15th of the month, please contact the Coordinator, VMC Investment Programs by e‑mail at invest.programme-ex@pch.gc.ca or, by phone at 819‑934‑5940 or 1‑800‑520‑2446.

Products Hosted on the CHIN Server

If you are a CHIN member institution with VMC products hosted on the CHIN server, you will automatically receive a statistical report.

Products Hosted on Other Servers

If you are a CHIN member institution with VMC products hosted on your server, you will automatically receive a statistical report only if you have inserted the Webtrends SDC code into each of your virtual exhibit’s Web pages.

If you have not done so, please contact the Coordinator, VMC Investment Programs, to obtain the instructions needed for installing the code by e mail at invest.programme-ex@pch.gc.ca or, by phone at 819 934 5940 or 1 800 520 2446.

What if your exhibit is hosted on your server and you don’t want to insert the Webtrends SDC code??

Inserting the Webtrends SDC code automates your task and ensures that you meet your responsibility to regularly send us statistical data for each of your virtual exhibits.

This allows CHIN to receive statistical data in real time and to produce detailed statistical reports on each of your exhibits.

If you do not wish to insert the Webtrends SDC code, you are still responsible for e mailing us the statistical data for each of your exhibits every quarter.

The provision of statistical information about VMC products hosted on servers external to CHIN is a contractual obligation of all funding recipients, for a period of five years following the launch of the product. Monthly data must be provided to CHIN on a quarterly basis (March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, December 31st)* within ten working days of the end of each quarter. The report is to contain at least the following figures:

  • Number of page views;
  • Number of visits;
  • Number of visitors; and
  • Average session length.
