The VMC Investment Programs support the efforts of museums to create engaging online content through strategic investments.

CHIN operates two investment programs that enable CHIN member institutions to develop Virtual Museum of Canada (VMC) content. This content includes virtual exhibits, interactive resources, community-based productions, and other educational resources in both English and French.

Choose Your Investment Program

• for all museums: Virtual Exhibits Investment Program
• For museums with five employees or less: Community Memories Program

Calls for Proposals

Calls for proposals for new content are issued at least once a year for the Virtual Museum of Canada (VMC) Investment Programs.  A new call for proposals will be issued in the fall of 2010. Please consult the individual programs for further details.

During Calls for Proposals, eligible organizations are invited to submit proposals for the production of VMC content.
